EVP, Managing Director – Technology Practice

The Managing Director is a senior leadership role responsible for leading and growing our Technology sector business. This individual sets the strategic direction for the practice, drives commercial performance, and builds the firm’s market presence within the technology industry.

This role combines expertise in market research, insights, and analytics with full business ownership, including revenue growth and profitability. The Managing Director leads a senior team across client delivery, business development, and innovation, with a clear mandate to scale the business and strengthen client impact.

As part of the extended senior leadership team, this role contributes to company-wide strategy while translating priorities into tangible commercial and operational results.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Business Leadership

  • Help shape company strategy by providing perspective on market trends, client needs, and growth opportunities in the technology sector

  • Define and execute the strategy for the Technology business, aligned to overall company priorities

  • Translate strategy into actionable plans, including go-to-market approach, capability investments, and service delivery models

  • Own sales performance, including pipeline development, forecasting accuracy, and conversion of key opportunities

Revenue Growth & P&L Ownership

  • Lead a significant portfolio with full accountability for revenue growth, profitability, and long-term financial planning

  • Drive sustainable growth through a balanced strategy of new business development, client expansion, and repeat business

  • Oversee pricing, resourcing, and delivery approaches to ensure strong financial performance and high-quality client outcomes

Business Development & Client Leadership

  • Partner with business development teams to identify and convert new growth opportunities

  • Lead large, strategic proposals and client pursuits, ensuring clear and compelling value propositions

  • Serve as an executive sponsor for key clients, building long-term relationships and expanding share of business

  • Collaborate with internal experts to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions for clients

Leadership & Organization Development

  • Lead and develop a senior team across client delivery, sales, and innovation functions

  • Build a strong leadership bench, with a focus on succession planning and talent development

  • Create alignment across teams to ensure consistent execution, quality, and collaboration

Market Presence & Industry Leadership

  • Act as a visible industry leader, representing the firm in the Technology sector

  • Build and maintain a strong external network of senior client leaders and industry stakeholders

  • Partner with marketing and product teams to bring innovative, differentiated offerings to market

Innovation & Capability Building

  • Identify emerging client and market needs and translate them into new services and solutions

  • Advance the use of AI, analytics, and modern research methodologies to enhance client impact

  • Work with internal teams to scale technology-enabled delivery and improve efficiency

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in market research, insights, analytics, or a related advisory environment

  • Proven experience leading large, multi-functional teams with full business and financial responsibility

  • Strong track record of driving revenue growth, profitability, and operational excellence

  • Experience developing senior leaders and building high-performing teams in complex organizations

  • Recognized industry credibility, with the ability to build senior client relationships and drive business development

  • Ability to translate market needs into scalable, client-focused solutions

  • Experience in a private equity-backed, high-growth, or transformation environment is strongly preferred

  • Salary range for this role is $215,000 - $245,000 plus Incentive Plan
