About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Looker & Looker Studio Developer with around 3 years of experience in data visualization and business intelligence (BI). The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in building dashboards, reports, and data models in Looker and Looker Studio, along with working knowledge of Google Workspace tools and exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. This role is a great opportunity for someone early in their BI career to contribute to impactful analytics projects while growing into more advanced cloud data engineering and visualization work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports in Looker and Looker Studio to meet business requirements.
  • Design and implement LookML models, explores, and views to enable scalable self-service analytics.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data pipelines and semantic layers are aligned with reporting needs.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into clear visualization solutions with effective storytelling.
  • Apply data governance and best practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability of BI assets.
  • Work with Google Workspace tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Drive) for reporting, documentation, and collaboration.
  • Leverage exposure to GCP services (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Data Studio APIs, Cloud IAM) to integrate data sources into Looker/Looker Studio.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis requests and provide user training/documentation as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • ~3 years of professional experience in BI/reporting or data visualization.
  • Hands-on experience with Looker (LookML, Explores, dashboards) and Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio).
  • Proficiency in SQL and comfort working with relational databases.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts (joins, star/snowflake schema, dimensions, measures).
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace tools (Sheets for quick analysis, Slides for reporting, Drive for collaboration).
  • Exposure to GCP services, especially BigQuery (querying, connecting to dashboards).
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate business needs into data-driven insights.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Familiarity with other GCP analytics and data services such as Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Dataflow.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Python or SQL-based ETL) for data preparation.
  • Experience in version control (Git, GitHub, or GitLab) for LookML projects.
  • Understanding of BI best practices and UX for dashboard design.
