Sr. Director of Insights - Global Health & Life Sciences (Pharma)

Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000

Remote-first with optional co-working spaces in NY, Boston, and Chicago

Role Overview

We’re seeking a senior-level professional to support our Sector Leader in delivering high-impact insights and maintaining strong client relationships. This role may lead specific client accounts or oversee day-to-day project decisions and client communications, depending on team structure and needs.

No sales quota—but your strategic thinking and consulting expertise will play a vital role in driving client loyalty and business growth.

You’ll be hands-on with the research while confidently navigating client conversations. You’ll be trusted to interpret client needs, propose effective solutions (even when they differ from the original request), and push back when necessary to protect data integrity and project scope.

Your experience in the pharmaceutical industry means you understand the business implications of our research outcomes. You’ve led custom, ad hoc, and tracking studies using advanced analytics (with support from data science teams), and ideally, you’re familiar with qualitative and mixed-method approaches.

Insights & Consulting positions are accountable for:

  • Presenting insights that address the client or industry’s needs
  • Proper application an interpretation of analytical techniques & tools
  • Creating client-ready materials on time
  • Sound process & integrity of insights

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on proposals by shaping analytical approaches and contributing to proposal content.
  • Provide strategic guidance on study design and research methodologies.
  • Develop custom / bespoke surveys/questionnaires aligned with client objectives.
  • Ensure data integrity and preserve trend analysis.
  • Monitor and manage research quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Approve programmed questionnaires and liaise with programming teams/vendors.
  • Analyze results and partner with Client Management to interpret findings.
  • Create and present clear, actionable, client-ready deliverables that connect insights to business goals.
  • Mentor mid- and junior-level team members; potential to manage a small team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in market research, with a strong background in pharma.
  • Proven leadership in custom and tracking research projects.
  • Expertise in survey design and a range of research methodologies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; able to lead client workshops.
  • Trusted by clients and internal teams for your strategic thinking and professionalism.
  • Analytical skills with experience in statistical modeling (preferred).
  • Prior supervisory experience (preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with at least one data analysis tool (e.g., SPSS, SAS).
  • Familiarity with qualitative research; moderation experience is a plus.
